I would just call the concierge and tell them you are coming and how much you are going to gamble... they usually start comping right away as they are desperate with the economy the way it is.

My rooms have always been comped. And the best way to do that is to just set up a line of credit at the hotel/casino. Once you do that they will comp your room.

(That was years ago, you may have to agree to a higher sum now) Anyway, they would get their chips, bet 1000 bucks each on odd and even on the roulette wheel to satisfy the requirements. After that they simply deposited the portion they were unwilling to risk and played with the rest.
