Budget solar panel system?
We have a three bedroom home and every month our electricity bill gets higher and higher. We've decided it's time to look into alternatives and solar power is one.
Is it possible to have your home partially powered by solar panels, or is it all or nothing? I would like to find out about installing a solar panel system that isn't going to break the bank. Trouble is, I've not seen anything that would give much change out of $10K.
What could be done to reduce that cost? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
Those simple things can save $$ a huge amount of money. We recently had two occupants leave the home for a month, so we turned off their devices and computers for a month and we saved $55 that month on electricity bills.
Also you can only run AC's during the day. (shut them off at night) and leave windows and doors open but with screens in to cool your house down with little cost to you.
Also turning off your computers for 10 hours a day will cool your home by about 2 degrees per computer.
If you live in a safe neighborhood you could leave the doors/windows open with just screens in all night. But remember to close them come morning!
So prior to any help one could give you, this is a piece of information that seems compulsary.
