Finding quality guest bloggers

I'd like to find some guest bloggers for my writing site. Where could I go to find people skilled in this sector?

I don't want to spend my time looking just at article directories in the hopes of finding a person that writes to the high standard I want,  and is actively involved in the writing industry in some respect. I've done that before and while I did find some very talented, intelligent people initially that way that I can call friends today, it's too time consuming sorting the wheat from the chaff.

And apparently there's way much more chaff than wheat out there! I'm kidding. I'm simply looking in the wrong places and need to change that.

Since my site's aimed at writers, I need bloggers who can offer something more than a non-writer could dream up. I know if I have the money to do more, that would solve my problem. Right now that's not an option. I can't offer cash but am glad to give links and/or promote their own sites/books in any way I can on my own site and elsewhere when I can.

So where could I look without having to sift through a hundred that aren't up to the job to find two or three good ones? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!
