Idea Offer and Community Involvement Ideas
Hi all,
Check out this video and let me know what ideas you have for ways Idea Offer can help this project and others like it. I'd also like some ideas for how Idea Offer can become involved in your community.

Thanks all!
This is something that IdeaOffer can do to become involved in my community as well as many others. Helping bring communities together, and incubate ideas, as Wasabi Ventures does. In a sense, IdeaOffer can become its own microincubator. Almost such as Twitter has done with turning blogging into microblogging. Incubate small ideas, and collaborate on projects all over the world, and users get paid as an incentive for being creative and collaborating.
As far as Idea Offer becoming involved in our community we really need a good way for ideas to go from the public to those who are able to make changes. We've tried some town hall type meetings and while they are poorly attended, people do voice opinions there. A way for people to give ideas online would be great! Especially if community leaders could participate in the conversation.
Hope this helps! :]

The common complaint is that there's nothing for young people to do. What young people like to do, is they like to gather, they like to do something fun & interesting. They like things like clubs with flashy lights, they like small romantic spots, places they can pick up icecream & play minature golf, they like gardens with benches, they like places where they can try new foods, they like bands playing, they like quiet areas with comfortable tables and chairs where they can gather a group of friends for a game of Risk. They like wifi hotspots so they can check internet. They like multi-line DSL hotspots so they can all bring their computers and play WoW and DotA together.
They love arcades, haven't seen any youngsters that didn't flock to, and fill-up a good arcade. I only know of 3 arcades left in the country but, I guess I was lucky to be within a 15 mile drive of one. Would be nice if the arcades didn't cost $3.00 or more per game.
Young people may like to ride a carousal, it would figure under the romantic stuff to do with that special someone.
Hmm, young people are also into dressing up and LARPing or participating in SCA events. But often it can be difficult for a 16 year old to attend such events because it often requires driving to get to.
Young people like to buy paint ball guns and I know a group of 25-30 that drives 60 miles to a special course where they can pay $60 to get in for the day and operate paintball cannons in box cars and simulated tanks.
Young people like to barbeque, they like to impress girlfriends or just have a fun time with their friends and bbq's usually need to have beer on the premises too. It would be nice if there were parks with bbq grills set up in them.
That's about all I can think of.
