Do you have an unusual pet?

I'd like to hear from you if you own a kind of animal most people wouldn't want as a pet (snake, piranha, whatever). This is for an article; I've already written about rats and pit bulls, and it was interesting to hear why the owners felt they were good pets. So, let me know why  you love your snapping turtle or whatever.
