While it depends on what exactly you *do* for business...and how you want to leverage your iPad for business -- is it a trinket on your office desk, something you fiddle with riding the train to commute to work, your portable "office in your hand" while you travel incessantly, etc... there are a few apps that are probably pretty generically useful for business on the go:

The iWork suite is more or less Microsoft Office for the iPad. (And for < $30 if you want the whole shebang.)

VNC Viewer gives you (with setup) total remote access to your computers, so you can see and do anything you would do on that computer, from your iPad.

ToDo means your iPad looks and feels like an old-school paper-page planner, as well as doing, well, all the other things an iPad can do.
