Military Healthcare Experience
Inspired by the frustratingly inefficient experience of a friend with military-issued health insurance, I wrote today's blog post about why I worry what our healthcare system may turn into if we go down this road too far:

What I would like to know is if anyone in the IO community has had personal experiences with military healthcare. I want to know both positive and negative experiences, if possible. What is your opinion of the system they have set up to care for military personnel and their families?
I can't tell you about military healthcare. I did once read that wives of military did abuse the system somewhat by supplementing their husbands incomes by giving birth to surrogate babies!
I suspect that your sample is extremely biased.
Why not ask those people on medicare for a possibly more balanced sample.
I have lived in countries with govt run healthcare and it is fine. It is way way more efficient than the nightmare of system currently operating in the US, where health insurance corporations add massive overheads that result in the death of many innocent americans every day.
It is not only europe with UHC, Iraq has UHC which is financed by the US taxpayer. Somewhat unfair that Iraqis get something we pay for yet we don't enjoy the same benefits.
Get over your bias.
So I won't waste any more time on this.
