I am putting the repair job of the old Honda on hold for now while I look for a new car.

What is the best place to look for private sellers listing their cars? When I look on Craigslist all I see are dealerships and spammers. Ebay might be nice but I don't want to buy a car sight unseen. And the other sites like autotrader.com seem to have been taken over by dealers as well.

Anyone have any luck with this?

looking for them in local news papers is far more better than looking into different sites.

You will find dealer ads almost everywhere. The local paper isn't bad, but there are dealers that sell on private lots. Maybe try networking- ask friends and family if they know anyone selling a car.
