Last-Minute Gift Ideas
Alright, this is the last of my ideas designed to help me with my gift-giving this year. I did most of my shopping early but still have a few things left.
First, what are some good stocking stuffers for little kids (3-4 years old)? Not trying to go overboard, the lad has plenty of big gifts. But fun stuff...
Second, my family does a random gift exchange just for fun and this year everyone is required to bring one random $10-5 gift and one "white elephant" gift, which I think is supposed to be sort of a joke. Gifts are supposed to be gender-neutral. Ideas?
Thanks and happy holidays!
The best low cost cost gift that you could give would be something homemade. I suggest going to your local craft store, and making a craft. For about $15.00 you can buy a book of blank postcards w./ 12 in each pack, buy some watercolor paints (regular or the glitter kind-crayola makes good ones).
You can customize the postcards for the recipients, or you can buy the materials and give them as stocking stuffers. You would be surprised what creativity comes out from self-expression. I am an art therapy graduate student. Trust me, I know.
You will feel the satisfaction of creating something from your own volition, or give the gift of self-expression by giving others the tools to be expressive. Both ideas are gender neutral and make for a unique gift that loved ones can cherish.
Heck, give the same thing for the white elephant gift giving, I am sure that people will be pleasantly surprised :o) Good luck and happy holidays!
I'm an elf and I love Christmas and picking out stocking stuffers! I've found some cute and affordable $1-$3 items for young kids at Target, Walmart & Toys 'r Us. All of those stores have great candy sections too!
As for a white elephant gift that's "gender neutral," I suggest an AMC or Regal Cinema gift card. Everyone loves to go the movies and you can't go wrong with that one.
Best of luck! :-)
An Apple and an Orange in the bottom of the sock to make it full at the bottom. Then add some "Kinder" surprises. Followed by any item that includes the childs name. (for that personal touch) you can usually find these at the dollar store. A candy cane, A few santa shaped chocolates, and a mini game. You can choose the quanity according to the stocking size.
Gift exchange:
Scratch and wins are always alot of fun also giving chocolate depending on the age you can get choclates filled with liquor.
The white elephant gift I have no clue what this means..however,.. I assume it's a box inside of a box inside of a box inside of a box ect...
Good luck and merry christmas
