New TSA Guidelines

I don't know why people make such a big deal about it. I think it is okay if in insures a safe flight for myself and others. If another attack occurred after these measures were lifted people would be regretting complaining.

I'm not American, but I do think it is a wise choice. I think it is a cover up, a kind of a smoke screen to decieve terrorist into thinking differently about American security. Terrorist are more knowledgeable of America than most Americans. That's because they are looking for loopholes. If the government then see this as a security treat it will do all that it can to combat it.

These scans and/or pat-downs are necessary to keep flights secure. I hope the "powers-that-be" come up with new, less invasive ways to check passengers for contraband. Hopefully a new technology will be developed that improves detection, while not compromising the privacy of the customer.

i hate it. America, the land of the free? I doubt I'll fly until either i can afford my own plane or the pat down/scan requirements are lifted. There hasn't been a terrorist attack since 911 so therefore existing terrorist counter measures were adequate.
So therefore I feel like a prisoner in this country.

We the people decided long ago that our federal government would regulate the skies over our heads because of national security and personal security. Therefore, there is no Constitutional right to fly. The guidelines are therefore subject only to a reasonableness test, not a "Constitutional" or "freedoms" analysis. The reasonableness test is measured against potential harm. I would rather be scanned/patted down than blown up.

I've traveled more than the average person over the years, both domestically and internationally, so I've been subjected to both being patted-down and going through body-scans.

I personally don't have any problem with it at all. I mean, it's not particularly comfortable to be patted down by a complete stranger, but it's better than not having any security.

If I could choose though, I would definitely pick the body-scan. They make me laugh because sometimes you are asked to pose in funny positions! I feel like a Charlie's Angel!

I think any measures that we can take to keep safe, are worth our short period of discomfort in the long run...

I think that its a good thing to be doing. SO many people are getting onto these planes with stuff that dont beep or you cant see sticking out of your pockets. I know that it doesnt feel right to be looked at, but the person who is actully looking at you, you cant see. and just think of it like this, wouldnt you want to know that the airport did everything they could to keep you and your family/kids safe on your flight.
