I want to start getting to the gym more regularly, but now that I am not in school and don't have to be around a gym each and every day I find it diffucult to make time.


What are your secrets for getting to the gym regularly?  What makes it easier?


Right now I am just trying to go at least a few times a week, but once the new year hits, my goal is to be on a dedicated workout/diet schedule.  How can I get ready for this now?

Go to the gym first thing in the morning works best for me. I have the most energy. I used to get up and go at 6 am, but then my kids started staying up late and it got too hard. I still do go in the morning - just a little later before I have to report for work.

Taking favorite exercise classes also helps get you there.

get a gym nearby

and if not possible u r doing fine but u should go for jogging atleast and also do pushups

pushup is the best exercise

whenever I m home and when I m watchng tv or been the computer for a while I push myself to get up and do some sort of exercise for at least 10 min. I try to make it a habit. But If you're free just go for a jog or a run whenever you wake up, its the best way to start your day.

do simple exercises like pushups,pullups and abs exercises when u miss to go to gym at home.....this may help u a bit.....

I set a program and a target beyond my abilities and I try to follow it as much better as I can, putting bets with my self that I'm going to achieve it.

Motivation to hit the gym is very important. To keep the motivation up and going, a TARGET to achieve in gym is important. The TARGET should be like, By 1 week, I must increase my Biceps by 1 inch or I must reduce weight by 3 kg in 1 week. If this target is fixed, you get motivation to get up early in the morning and hit the gym.

Also, Keep a poster of a person whose body you admire the most. This will definitely help you motivate yourself to be fit and strong and hit the gym frequently.

Hi!

For me, it does sometimes take some extra motivation! I selected a gym that is close to my office but far from my home so that I will be motivated to go after work and bypass the traffic on my commute home. This ensures that I have less stress from not having to sit in traffic, and from exercising because I feel better about myself.

I try to exercise between 3-5 times per week. I also take a couple of group classes each week and I put them into my Outlook calendar with reminders. This also helps out a bunch!

When i get into one of these moods where i dont want to go to the gym, i just get myself to think, what else am i doing? I look at myself and see wht i need to work on and it gets me to want to go. i also try and go to the gym whenever i am out, so i have no excuse to stay home when i get there. also waking up early just to go feels so good after.

My secret to make it to the gym is to manage your schedule between school and work so that you can make it happen. What I do is go to the gym after I get off work and also go to the gym at my school a about 30 minutes to an hour.
